MANUFACTURERS in the Peterborough area will be optimistically looking to the year ahead, according to Graham Martin, Barclays' local manufacturing specialist.

MANUFACTURERS in the Peterborough area will be optimistically looking to the year ahead, according to Graham Martin, Barclays' local manufacturing specialist.He was commenting after the release of the manufacturing Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) which showed "the markers of recovery are taking hold in the manufacturing sector."

He said: "The high growth rate evident in today's figures represents a good start to 2010."
