How to nominate

The deadline for entries is Friday, 4th September 2009.

Judges' chairman Nigel Hards said: "The judges are looking forward to meeting those individuals and companies that are continuing to make real progress notwithstanding the current difficult macro economic backdrop. It will be interesting to see who has continued to invest in training, the community and the environment when often these are the first things to go when the market place tightens.

"This year's winners will be real heros." Evening Telegraph editor Mark Edwards said:

"Our awards night puts the spotlight on the cream of the crop of our businesses and sends out a message to the rest of the country that, even in these difficult economic times, Peterborough is a centre of business excellence."

This year's competition will welcome back many of last year's sponsors including Barclays, Norwich and Peterborough, Peterborough City Council and Royal Mail.

In addition, last year's excellent team of judges

have agreed to return and they are Bill Agnew, Chris Collier, Anne Corder, Colleen Gostick, Nigel Hards, Bill Samuels and Jenny Weston.

After the closing date for entries, judges will draw up a shortlist of finalists. Each finalist will be visited by the judges who will then decide on the winners to be announced at the awards ceremony in November at the Holiday Inn, in Thorpe Wood, Peterborough.
