Jacqui's determined to really go places - 19/09/06

AWARD-WINNING Stamford businesswoman Jacqui Kavanagh is set to challenge the meeting and events sector with the launch of her new enterprise Trinity Conferences this week.Jacqui was recognised in the SHINE Awards last year for her outstanding achievements in the travel, tourism and hospitality industries but is really hoping to make her mark in an increasingly competitive sector through a unique business offering.

Unlike traditional and more established venue placement agencies, Trinity's key business measure will be conversion ratios. Agents have traditionally offered a free service, performance being measured on a quantitative, revenue base as opposed to a qualitative proposition. By tracking the conversion of enquiries, the Trinity team will ensure that they are giving their clients a precise service that fully meets their face-to-face marketing requirements.

A team of seven, headed by Jacqui, will work with a client base that reads like an A–Z of the corporate marketplace. The team represents a hybrid of employees from key agencies, hotels and venues.

Mrs Kavanagh said: "Trinity represents a unique venture in a sector that is going through so much change. Whilst there is a lot of consolidation going on, we have carried out research with our clients, all of whom are excited at our business proposition".

Trinity Conferences offers three types of service: venue finding for conferences and meetings; accommodation booking; and international venues (available from February 2007).

It focuses on giving the highest level of service to customers through experienced industry professionals.

Trinity will provide a free service to customers seeking a venue, comprising the following: taking a detailed brief, searching for a selection of appropriate venues, sending a detailed proposal, identifying best prices and cost savings, and confirmation of venue booking. Venues offered will be in the UK and overseas, specialising in the pharmaceutical industry.

Trinity will also provide a free accommodation booking service, comprising: ad hoc bookings for hotel rooms, bespoke accommodation rate cards for events, and bespoke accommodation rate cards for venues.

Jacqui Kavanagh is passionate about raising and maintaining high standards of service throughout the industry, which is why she has formed Trinity Conferences. Jacqui has many years of experience working in hotels and agencies. She also takes an active role in the industry associations Meetings Professionals International (MPI) and the Hotel Booking Agents Association (HBAA). In 2006 Jacqui was voted the winner of the Shine Awards, Business Owner of the Year, spoke at the International Confex Conference and was invited to sit on the advisory board for the Abu Dhabi 2007 exhibition.
