Franchising as a business model has shown its strength over recent months with its formula of a locally-owned and run enterprise, driven by a small business owner, with branding, economies of scale and support from the wider network, giving the consumer the best of both worlds and the business a far better chance of success.
Peterborough is known across the UK for championing this initiative; bringing completely different franchise brands together to work to common goals under the banner of Proud to Franchise.
The official voice of the industry, the British Franchise Association (bfa), is now using the Peterborough group as a blueprint to be trialled elsewhere across the UK.
The bfa is changing whole sections of its structure to engage with businesses just like this and make consumers more aware of the franchise businesses out there - and the benefits.
With Peterborough being the leading light in these powerful developments, Terry Lucking, Belvoir Lettings franchisee and chairman of the business group, called for further motivated franchisees to get involved and become part of this important work.
If you are a franchisee in Peterborough and would like to get involved in this initiative, call Terry on 01733 574060.
