PETERBOROUGH-based businessman Mike White is celebrating after winning a prestigious award.Mike White, who runs a Safeclean franchise, beat off competition from 80 other franchisees from around the country to secure the title of Franchisee of the Year.
The award is given by furnishing-care franchise Safeclean for achieving consistently high standards and excellence in customer service.
Mr White, who is in his fifth year of trading, said: "It's been down to a lot of hard work and commitment, not just from myself but my wife and son who help me run the business. Without them, I wouldn't be where I am now.
"Our business has been built up because we like to provide a personal service to our customers and being part of Safeclean has helped us to develop the high standards we set for ourselves and our customers. Customers have peace of mind that they have the security of Safeclean protecting their interests."
His territory covers Peterborough, Deeping, Huntingdon, Ramsey and Whittlesey plus parts of Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire and Leicestershire.
Franchise operations manager for Safeclean, Paul Fennell, said: "We chose Mike as the winner because he has achieved turnover levels which set a fantastic example to franchisees.
