Awards: Marshall on marque for customer satisfaction
DEALERSHIP Peterborough Honda was in the limelight at the premier AM motor industry awards as the top UK Honda business for customer satisfaction winning the Most Improved Company of the Year accolade.
DEALERSHIP Peterborough Honda was in the limelight at the premier AM motor industry awards as the top UK Honda business for customer satisfaction winning the Most Improved Company of the Year accolade.In a year that proved tough for the motor industry, the Peterborough firm bucked the trend and was number one in Honda's CSi (customer satisfaction index) programme. The manufacturer produced a DVD for the Honda dealer network showing what a difference focus makes in a business based on Peterborough Honda.
Phil Lewin, general manager of Peterborough Honda, said: "Everyone at the dealership is ecstatic and we are hugely proud to have won this award. We are focused on delivering extraordinary experiences for our customers and we take great pride in doing everything we can to help our customers."
In choosing the Marshall Motor Group, the judges made particular mention of the dealership's extraordinary rise in the manufacturer's CSi programme, moving from 159th to first in nine months.
Commenting on the award, Marshall Motor Group chief executive Daksh Gupta said: "The Peterborough Honda management team is one of the longest established in the group, both Phil Lewin and Brian Crawford were in post when the branch first opened its doors in 1995.
"They have always believed in delivering good customer service, but this award recognises the huge progress they made in the Honda CSi programme by simply focussing on some key principle. These guys got on the escalator last year and have been recognised by the industry for their efforts."
In addition to delivering top levels of service, the team at Peterborough Honda also performed very strongly in terms of new car sales in 2009 by hitting 147 per cent of its retail sales target.
It proved to be a spectacularly successful night for Marshall Motor Group as it won two other awards -
Excellence in Customer Service which was collected by Mr Gupta and the Best Dealership award won by Cambridge Jaguar and presented to general manager Peter Muffet.
Marshall was also a finalist in three other categories - Best Dealer Website, Employer of the Year and Best Retail Group.
