A sign for the times which could help to generate more business
The credit crunch might be with us, but in times of difficult trading evidence shows that companies which promote themselves are more likely to be able to survive than those which don't.
The credit crunch might be with us, but in times of difficult trading evidence shows that companies which promote themselves are more likely to be able to survive than those which don't.Instead of cutting your advertising budget, it is worth looking at how you can get maximum impact for your money.
If traditional forms of advertising aren't generating the leads for you, get creative. what you need is something that is eye-catching and that will drive awareness for your business.
Charles Waddington, owner of Home Appliances in Peterborough, has certainly noticed an increase in trade and company awareness following the recent re-brand and new signage for the store.
The new company logo was created by Sign A Rama's in-house graphic designer David Crust and has been used on all its store signage, vans and business cards.
Although the company continues to regularly advertise in newspapers and on radio, Mr Waddington has certainly seen the benefit of having a new corporate identity.
A Formal Affair, a suit hire business based in Wulfric Square, Bretton, has recently become creative with its branding.
Having commissioned Sign A Rama Peterborough to install new exterior signage for the showroom, owner Keith Lilley went one step further and branded his Mini Cooper.
The simple silver graphics have made a stylish addition to his black Mini and achieved amazing results.
On the drive home, after collecting the car, Keith received his first enquiry. The groom making the enquiry was in the car directly behind Keith, after stopping to exchange details an appointment was arranged.
At the appointment, the customer placed an order which more than covered the cost of the sign writing. It really had taken less than the time to drive across town to create the first enquiry.
The effect has been long lasting, and Keith often gets enquiries when the car is parked at his wife's place of work, whether from employees or passers-by.
Sign A Rama Peterborough was started by local couple Stuart and Jane Gray in the first half of 2007.
The firm creates signs that get noticed whether for exterior use on the outside of a building – shop fascias, illuminated signs, individual letters – or on a vehicle.
For interior use they can create exhibition displays, point of sale, window graphics and acrylic (Perspex) displays.
Stuart and Jane bring a wealth of customer service experience to the business, and their clients range from sole traders to plcs.
All products are made to order and Sign A Rama's buying power means that they can use higher quality materials yet remain competitive on price.
