Your sculpture could be on show in Queensgate

Queensgate shopping centre is inviting schools and after school clubs from across the city to enter an art and design competition with the chance of winning a grand prize of £500.

Queensgate shopping centre is inviting schools and after school clubs from across the city to enter an art and design competition with the chance of winning a grand prize of 500.The competition is to celebrate Queensgate's involvement with the Peterborough Green Festival.

Queensgate is asking groups of pupils to create an eye catching sculpture made of plastic bottles, tubs or pots tot represent a famous Peterborough landmark or building.

A total of eight sculptures from the entries submitted will be showcased throughout the centre during the the festival.

To be in with the chance of winning, take a photo of your sculpture and send it along with the pupils' names, school details and a note of which landmark it represents to management@queensgatecm. co.uk with a subject heading of Recycled Art Competition.

Or you can post your entries to Phil Drinkwater, Centre Management Office, Queensgate Shopping Centre, Peterborough, PE1 1NT.

The sculptures must only be made of hard plastic and must not exceed 1m in width or 2m in height.

The deadline for entries is Friday, May 23.
