You can go green at sustainable transport event

THE UK's first and only sustainable transport show and conference will take place at the East of England Showground, in Alwalton, near Peterborough, on October 22 and 23.

THE UK's first and only sustainable transport show and conference will take place at the East of England Showground, in Alwalton, near Peterborough, on October 22 and 23.The Sustainable Transport Show 2008 is a bid to help companies reduce carbon emissions created by truck, trains, cars, vans, airplanes and motorbikes.

Over the two days, the Sustainable Transport Conference will cover a range of issues such as cultural barriers to “green”, the importance of considering electrical transport and the challenges of meeting Government legislation.

Event director Keith Dalton said: “The Sustainable Transport Show and Conference is the only UK exhibition that will give attendees practical and informative advice on how to decrease their carbon footprint through environmentally friendly transport.

“By sharing best practice, debating the future and discussing the options, companies across the UK can get a better understanding of the impact their vehicles are having on the future of our planet.”
