A VISITING African MP was given a stunning view of Peterborough during his stay in the city.Member of Parliament in the Government of Sierra Leone Kondeh Conteh was visiting the city to recognise the fund-raising work the Rotary Club of Peterborough has done for the West African country following a civil war.
Mr Conteh attended a lunch with the club, and was one of the first to view some spectacular aerial photographs of Peterborough, which were displayed at the meeting.
Rotary Club Peterborough president Phil Thomson said: "Kondeh greatly supports the charitable work Rotarians do in Sierra Leone following the war there, and it was a delight to be able to give him such a visually stunning tour of our city during his visit.
"Peterborough has some fine landmark buildings, with the cathedral, Thorpe Hall, the Thomas Deacon Academy and the new hospital, but so many other everyday features come alive with aerial views.
"Our photographic flight around the city captured the attention of everyone. Even members who were born and bred here were amazed at just how much detail could be seen from the air and how the city was successfully growing."
Mr Conteh added: "The aerial views were remarkable and I thoroughly enjoyed them."
