SHOPPERS were serenaded by violins, clarinets, keyboards and voices as talented Orton Longueville School pupils busked for charity.Youngsters from Orton Longueville School swapped classes for the impromptu performances at Serpentine Green Shopping Centre ,in Hampton, Peterborough.
All the money they collect will go towards Cancer Research UK.
Head of music at the school in Oundle Road, Peterborough, Steve Beeston said: "I got an e-mail through from the charity asking if we wanted to organise something. It's a really good idea.
"It's good to see pupils earn money while doing something they enjoy."
Jocelyn Knight (15), who has been playing violin since she was six, dazzled shoppers with her performance.
She said: "I've never busked before, and it was a little bit nerve-racking.
"But a lot of people stopped and we have got a lot of money in the collection pots."
