More than 50,000 visitors descended in Peterborough for the nation's number one bike festival – The Carole Nash BMF Motorcycle Show at the East of England Showground.The famous Purple Helmets display team were one of the highlights of the weekend as they performed their bizarre motorcycle routines and wowed the crowds with their unusual stunts and antics.

Other entertainment included the Wall of Death, the MPC Ural Motorbikes Sidecar stunt team, vintage speedway and former stunt rider Eddie Kidd, who was at the show to receive his honorary membership from the BMF.
