While at the school in Queen's Gardens, Peterborough, the 30 guards marched around the atrium in front of hundreds of pupils, playing a number of well-known instrumentals.

Director of innovation at the school Steve Warburton said: "The Welsh Guards were with us all day doing masterclasses for our musicians, then performing a concert with our band at the Key Theatre.
"They conducted a terrific march, which all the academy were able to watch and enjoy.
"We're really thankful to them for helping our musicians raise their game and get a good idea of the standards of excellence they can aim for."
