PETERBOROUGH City Council has launched a scheme to collect batteries for recycling.

PETERBOROUGH City Council has launched a scheme to collect batteries for recycling.New battery collection containers have been installed at the recycling centre in Dogsthorpe and the customer service centre, in Bayard Place, Broadway.

Waste management officer Shah Faisal said: “Regulations come into force in January, which will discourage batteries being disposed of in landfill.”
