Take ride to help home

IT'S time to get in shape, enjoy the great outdoors and help raise hundreds of pounds for a city charity.Sue Ryder has launched its annual Ride for Ryder campaign and needs people across Peterborough to get involved to make this year’s event the best ever.

So whether you can take part in a sponsored horse ride to work or just sign up to a bike ride in the city on September 14 – when fund-raisers will choose between 18, 35, 55 or 83 miles – every little will help.

Now in its second year, fund-raisers at Sue Ryder’s Thorpe Hall Hospice launched the event with the support of Esporta and John Lewis at the Queensgate Shopping Centre earlier this month. Pre-registration costs 10 per adult, which includes a training plan, Ride for Ryder T-shirt, goody bag, certificate and a rub down at the finish line.

Registration is also available on the day at 12.50 for adults and 6 for children.
