For earner driver Sheena Whitwell, getting rid of her L plates was an achievement of Olympic proportions. It may have taken Sheena, who lives in Horsegate, Whittlesey, two years to finally pass her test, but as she has special needs and had never previously taken an exam, it was an incredible moment.
The 22-year-old, who attended Marshfield Special School, in Peterborough, and since leaving there works in a nursing home, was delighted with the result.

And proud mum Diana Whitwell hopes Sheena's sheer will and determination to overcome the odds to pass the test will serve as inspiration to other youngsters with special needs
Diana said: "This is Sheena's best achievement, and we could not be prouder.
"I hope it shows other young adults leaving special schools, that you can have great achievements in life."
And there was nothing but praise for Jiffy instructor Paul Markham, who gave Sheena additional help with her theory test.
Diana added: "The theory was the main stumbling block, and Paul gets 10 out of 10 for helping her out.
"It meant everything to us all, and there were lots of happy tears when we found out the news."
