Safe taken from betting shop

EARLY morning raiders have managed to get away a safe from a village betting shop this morning.

EARLY morning raiders have managed to get away a safe from a village betting shop this morning.The safe was taken from the Coral Bookmakers shop in West Street, Bourne, at around 2.45am, after breaking into the premises.

Police were called at 2.45am, after a group of men were seen loading the safe into a car outside the shop.

It is believed the thieves made their getaway in a silver coloured five door hatchback possibly a Honda and with the registration number FL05 LXS or similar.

At this stage it is not known how much money was in the safe.

Police are appealing for anyone who was in the area of West Street prior to and around 2.45am and may have seen suspicious activity near the shop.
