Patient Advice and Liaison Service moving to a new home

VITAL healthcare patient services will be moving to a new Peterborough city centre location later in November. The Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) for NHS Peterborough and Peterborough Community Services will move to the new City Care Centre, in Thorpe Road, from the town hall, on November 30.

PALS helps patients, relatives and friends by talking to members of staff on their behalf, to resolve concerns or answer questions about health and adult social care in Peterborough. The service offers help, support, information and advice to anyone receiving, or who has received, NHS care.

PALS manager for NHS Peterborough Chris Rowell said: "We're hoping the move to the City Care Centre will make the service more identifiable and easily accessible to patients.

"We offer an extremely valuable service to patients, their carers and family members, as well as the public. In the last year alone we helped 1,273 people with queries such as where to get an NHS dentist, how to get social care for a relative in an emergency and how to get obesity treatment on NHS."
