A MAN injured himself on Monday during an incident at a house in Peterborough.
A MAN injured himself on Monday during an incident at a house in Peterborough.The man, who is believed to be in his 30s but has not been named by police, suffered minor injuries during the disturbance in Saltmarsh, Orton Malborne.
Police said today they were investigating the incident, but it is not thought anyone else was involved.
The air ambulance, carrying a doctor and a paramedic from the flying doctor service Magpas, was alerted and landed on the field behind Leighton Primary School, in Orton Malborne, at about 1pm.
But the man was taken to Peterborough District Hospital by land ambulance and was later discharged.
A nearby resident, who wished to remain anonymous, said: "I heard the air ambulance overhead, and at first I was scared that something had happened at the school. I saw a man being walked to the ambulance holding his stomach."
Another resident, who did not want to be identified, added: "The kids from the school were all out there watching what was going on."
Police also attended the incident, and a spokesman said: "We were called to a domestic incident in Saltmarsh. One person was taken to Peterborough District Hospital and we are investigating."
