No objections raised to Peterborough waste incinerator

PETERBOROUGH City Council's £58 million waste-to-energy centre will go ahead after no objections were raised by GoEast.

PETERBOROUGH City Council's 58 million waste-to-energy centre will go ahead after no objections were raised by GoEast.The East of England government agency could have called-in the decision made by the council's planning committee last week.

Thirty jobs will be created at the centre, which will see an incinerator plant built off Storeys Bar Road, Fengate, burning rubbish to create electricity.
