GLAMOUR model Nicola McLean is proving to be a tough nut to crack as she goes from strength to strength in this year's I'm A Celebrity . . . Get Me Out Of Here! Not content with winning Monday's Bushtucker Trial, the 25-year-old fiance of Peterborough United footballer Tom Williams beat former TV presenter Dani Behr in last night's Celebrity Chest challenge.
Mum-of-one Nicola, who has also made an unlikely new friend in journalist Esther Rantzen, found herself competing against the former Big Breakfast presenter, in Down Force.
Using a rope, the pair had to pull themselves down from mid air, with a weight equivalent to their body weight pulling against them, and up a hill, before unlocking the chest.
Nicola, who claims she is scared of heights, quickly realised that tipping herself upside down was the best method, winning her team a cheese platter donated by former contestant Gemma Atkinson.
After the challenge, she said: "From one glamour girl to another. I feel ill, I'm so not made for this show."
However, loser Dani isn't convinced and told her camp "Let me tell you about Nicola, lovely bird, but don't listen to anything. She says 'I'm really weak, I've got no strength'. She's playing a game. I think she's got a big game plan."
Later in the show, the Away Camp, where Nicola had been staying, joined with Home Camp half a day earlier then expected, due to adverse weather conditions.
I'm A Celebrity . . . Get Me Out Of Here! is taking a break for a day from ITV1, but it will be back at 9pm tomorrow.
