GLAMOUR model Nicola McLean became the seventh star to leave the jungle last night after being voted out of I'm A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here. The 25-year-old fiance of Peterborough United star Tom Williams and mother to their two-year-old son Rocky endured 18 long days in the treacherous Australian jungle.

But yesterday proved to be her last, when she lost out to actor George Takei and pop star Simon Webbe to finish the show in sixth place.

Jumping for joy when meeting the show's hosts Ant and Dec, she said: "I was in it to win it without a shadow of doubt, but am I excited that I'm going to be seeing my fianc and my son – oh my God, yes.

"This is the toughest thing I've ever done but I'm super excited to be out. I ache for my baby, my heart really aches for him. I'm a full-time mum and I really needed him and I felt so guilty all the time.

"Everyone knows I'm a massive fan of the show and I thought I could do it. The eating was my worst nightmare and I said I wouldn't eat an eyeball. But I had to when I was against Joe and I had to beat him."

Today, proud partner Tom, who has spoken to Nicola a couple of times since she left the jungle, said he was delighted for her but shocked she was voted off so close to the end.

Although disappointed he couldn't be there to meet her himself, Tom also said he was pleased that Nicola's long time friend, Chrissy Johnson – who set up the couple on a blind date – was there to meet her.

He said: "She's happy that she's out, because she's really missing home but she did enjoy it. She's having a bath and relaxing and going out for dinner tonight with her friends out there.

"I told her to enjoy the surroundings now that she knows her family is safe. I was quite shocked that she went last night and the feedback I'm getting from ITV was they were shocked too.

"She was one of the biggest characters in there. She brought a lot to the show and showed a side to her that's really endearing."

Nicola beat off more than half of the competitors on the popular reality show and was one of the favourites to reach Friday's final show..

But her bitter exchanges with former pop star David Van Day continued to the last as she revealed that on her exit from the camp, she blanked David and warned the rest of the camp over his behaviour.

She added: "I could see it, as soon as he walked in I disliked him and I disliked Timmy (Mallett). I know I was harsh, but that's how I'd be on the outside world as well. I'm very black and white.

"He targeted Joe and he tried to split up the camp. It was the extent of the nastiness behind it."

McLean said that Van Day manipulated members of the camp, including ex-EastEnders star Joe Swash and she resented him for this.

She said: "It was a shame because I think I could have had a better time with Joe had he not been swayed by that vile, vile creature."

Nicola's time in the jungle was littered with trials, tribulations, upset and jubilation but she is almost certain to be one of the most successful contestants of this series.

Having completed three Bushtucker Trials and five Celebrity Chest's, Nicola won a vast amount of meals and special treats for her fellow campers.

But she couldn't have done any of it without the support of the pubic and Tom added: "Thanks for the support and the messages, we really appreciate it."

Tom said Nicola was due to arrive back in the UK on Sunday night, but he said her immediate plans were still to be decided.

It has been reported that she is in line for a major lingerie advertising deal and she has been offered several TV appearances.
