ONE of the Peterborough's radio stations is set to undergo a multi-million pound re-branding over the next few months. From Monday, 5 January, Hereward FM will become known at Heart, as it becomes one of the first stations to change to the Heart brand, under new owners Global Radio.

This is the first phase of the roll-out as part of the re-brand over the next 12 to 18 months.

The changes will see the ongoing development of local programming and a marketing investment into the station.

Managing director of the station Sharon Rush said: "Everyone at Hereward FM is looking forward to becoming the 'Heart' of greater Peterborough.

"The investment into the station means that we can continue to provide first-class local radio for listeners and advertisers. Heart is set to grow into an even stronger brand, and we're proud to be part of that."

The other eight local radio stations involved in phase one include SGR FM, SGR Colchester, Radio Broadland, Q103, Northants 96, Chiltern Bedfordshire, Chiltern Dunstable and Horizon.
