THE temporary roundabout system at the main entrance to Edith Cavell hospital will be changing to a traffic light system from Monday, June 15.Peterborough and Stamford Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust bosses said the traffic lights at the entrance of Edith Cavell are part of a wider traffic management system along Bretton Gate, which has seen the road widened in anticipation of Peterborough City Hospital opening next year.
Project director Angela Broekhuizen said: "We are very pleased that the traffic system and road works are progressing well, as is the construction of the new hospital, and are nearing completion.
"I would like to ask patients and visitors to the hospital, members of staff and motorists using Bretton Gate to take extra care while everybody gets used to the new traffic light system next week."
