It is nearly time for Peterborough residents to renew their brown bin payments to Peterborough City Council.

Households which already subscribe to brown bin collections can renew from Monday, April 3 for £39.

This will cover fortnightly garden waste collections from May 22 to May 18, 2018.

Councillor Gavin Elsey, council cabinet member for waste and street scene, said: “We’re delighted that so many households - over 21,000 now - subscribed to the brown bin scheme last year.

“However if you don’t want to sign up there are other options to dispose of your garden waste such as the Household Recycling Centre in Dogsthorpe.”

Residents can pay the annual brown bin annual fee or subscribe for the first time:

- online at www.peterborough.gov.uk/brownbins

- by telephone on 01733 747474.

Existing garden waste subscribers will also be written to in the coming weeks with details of how to renew.

In December and January collections will be monthly.
