A FARM hand accused of sexually abusing five children more than 20 years ago has been acquitted of all charges.Nigel Ford (57) denied a catalogue of sex attacks upon four boys and a girl, all now adults, allegedly committed while he worked at farms in King’s Cliffe, near Peterborough, in the 1970s and ’80s.

Following a five-day trial at Northampton Crown Court, he was cleared of nine allegations of indecent assault.

Mr Ford, of Park Close, King’s Cliffe, told the jury he had no idea why the complainants had made claims.

After the verdicts were delivered, he said he was relieved his ordeal was over.
