Help transform a prominent area of Ferry Meadows into a colourful and thriving wildflower meadow for bees and butterflies with Peterborough-based charity Buglife.

Invertebrate conservation charity Buglife will be sowing wildflower seed at The Mound area of Ferry Meadows country park along with with the Nene Park Trust on Wednesday, 26 November from 2pm.

Seed sowing is suitable for all ages and will be great way to learn fun wildlife gardening skills for your own green patch.

Buglife will supply all equipment including gloves, just wear sturdy footwear and waterproofs.

The meeting point for the free event is at The Mound in Ferry Meadows, see a map here, follow the main path from the visitor centre.

Parking is available in the main Ferry Meadows car park, postcode is PE2 5UU.
