It's getting bedder all the time for young Rotarians

BREAKFAST in bed is not usually a public event, but Peterborough Rotaract club members decided to share their weekend treat with the customers of Bretton Sainsbury's.The group, which is made up of junior members of the Rotary Club, were involved in a national event to have breakfast in the most unusual place possible on Saturday.

They obtained the use of the foyer of Sainsbury’s for breakfast in bed, dressed in their nightwear to help raise awareness for the group and its charity work.

Special projects officer Paul Davy said: “We are currently 10-strong and made up of local young people aged between 18 and 30. We meet regularly at the Ramblewood Inn pub, in Oundle Road, every first and third Monday of the month.”

He added: “We are also making an appeal for local projects of a charitable nature to contact us.

“ We would like to get involved by giving up time to get for the benefit people in Peterborough area.”
