FORMER pop-star David Van Day is the latest celebrity in the jungle to take on glamour model Nicola McLean – and lose.As the hit ITV show returned after a night off for the international football, it was revealed that two new celebrities, Van Day, formerly of 80s pop combo Dollar and children's favourite Timmy "Mallets" Mallet had been introduced.

After the duo fell into a net trap on their entrance to the jungle and were placed in cages the celebrities were then asked to give up their luxury items to make the two new camp mates lives easier.

And proving no one comes between a WAG and her mascara, Nicola certainly proved the most vocal as the debate raged saying: "I'm not giving up my mascara for nothing. Everyone's getting all moral. I refuse to give up my mascara for anybody."

So as the two celebrities remained caged, the camp decided they would not help the prisoners and left them in their jungle jail.

And mum-of-one Nicola, the fiance of Posh star Tom Williams, remained unrepentant at the decision the next morning saying: "I had a fantastic night's sleep. I didn't give the two celebrities in prison another thought. If they've had a bad night, I couldn't care less."

Viewers then saw fireworks as the two celebrities were united with the camp and a further fight ensued over sleeping arrangements.

Meanwhile, Nicola escaped the latest live bush trucker trial with the honour falling to her sparring partner Robert Kilroy-Silk.

He took part in a gruesome jungle gym as various creepy critters joined him in a special workout, but he triumphed to win all the meals for the camp, much to the delight of Nicola, who even kindly poured water over his head to rid him of the bugs.

And this won't be the only challenge ahead for Nicola and the other celebrities as they are having to endure torrential rain.

The camp has been threatened by massive storms which have struck the east coast of Australia.

But despite the severe weather warning, the storm cannot be as violent as that which will hit camp if someone tries to come between Nicola and her make-up.
