AN ARSON investigation is under way after six vehicles were damaged in an arson attack on a hotel car park.
AN ARSON investigation is under way after six vehicles were damaged in an arson attack on a hotel car park.Firefighters from Yaxley fought the blaze at the Premier Travel Inn, near the A1(M) at Norman Cross, Peterborough, for two hours.
When they arrived, they found a white Vauxhall Corsa that was well alight.
The fire had spread to a car on the left and a van on the right and three cars in front of the Corsa suffered heat damage.
Police are treating the incident as arson and are appealing for any witnesses to contact them if they saw anything suspicious in the area.
The incident happened shortly after 2am on Tuesday morning.
A police spokeswoman said: “The fire service contacted us. We have started an investigation and will be taking statements and looking at CCTV footage.
“Our scenes of crime officers are also looking into this.”
