Ferry Meadows: Join Santas running for charity

HUNDREDS of Father Christmases will be ho-ho-ho-ing their way around Ferry Meadows on the 7 December in Peterborough's first-ever Santa Run.

HUNDREDS of Father Christmases will be ho-ho-ho-ing their way around Ferry Meadows on the 7 December in Peterborough's first-ever Santa Run.The event, which has been brought to the city by Norwich and Peterborough Building Society, in partnership with the charity East Anglia's Children's Hospices (EACH) will take place at Ferry Meadows Country Park, on Sunday, 7 December.

City people are invited to sign up for the 2km run, which will, hopefully, become a regular fund-raiser in the city.

Those who enter the run will receive a Santa suit to wear as they make their way around the course at the popular spot.

And even children are encouraged to take part – as they get to sport a Santa hat.

Money raised from entry fees, and through sponsorship, will boost the hospice services provided by EACH to children from all over East Anglia, including Peterborough and the Fens.

To sign up for the Peterborough Santa Run, participants can register online at www.each.org.uk or call Sally Cassels on 01223 205194. Alternatively, e-mail sally.cassels@each.org.uk.
