YEE-HAA! Lassoing and line-dancing proved a popular hit at Eye Primary School's summer fete.Hundreds of cowboys, cowgirls and adults descended on Eye Primary School, in Eyebury Road, Eye, near Peterborough, for this year's annual fete with a Wild West theme.

There was all the traditional makings of a summer fete for both children and parents to enjoy, from a raffle and tombola to barbecue and beer tent.

Spectacular line-dancing, gymnastic and choir singing displays also wowed the crowds.

Chairwoman of Eye School Association, Sharon Beehoo said: "We did have quite a lot of drizzle all day, which meant we hosted the majority of the events and stalls inside, but it was still a brilliant day.

"The turnout was excellent, and everyone seemed to really enjoy themselves."

More than 1,500 was raised on the day, which will go towards new equipment for the school.
