BREAKING NEWS 5PM: Police are growing increasingly concerned for the safety of 61-year-old man missing from home since Friday.Michael Pennell was last seen at his home address in Newcomb Court in Stamford.

Police say he is vulnerable and requires medication, which he will not have taken since going missing.

Mr Pennell is described as white, about 5ft 11ins tall and of medium to large build with a paunch. He has dark, greying hair and a pale complexion. It's not known what clothing he was wearing, although he may appear dishevelled.

It's believed that he does have a mobile phone with him, and also has access to money.

Mr Pennell has gone missing in the past, and has been located in London and in Carlisle. He originates from the Market Deeping area, but has also lived for a number of years in the Hampstead area of London. He is confident in using public transport and is fairly well travelled throughout the country. He may be staying in a hotel or sleeping rough.

When Mr Pennell has gone missing previously, he's been known to go to local hotels and churches, where he talks to members of the clergy.

Sergeant Emma Crisp says, "We are concerned for Mr Pennell's well-being, as he needs his medication, and without it his condition will deteriorate.

"His family are extremely worried about him, and are anxious to know that he is safe and well.

"If anyone has seen him, or has any information about his whereabouts, we would be very grateful if they would get in touch with us".

Anyone who has seen Mr Pennell is asked to contact Lincolnshire Police 01522 532222, quoting incident number 185 of 29 January 2008.
