UPDATE 11am: A 200 metre exclusion zone has been set up around the blaze. The A605 is closed with diversions in place and there are local rail disruptions.According to National Rail, CrossCountry, East Midlands Trains and one services are all disrupted by the fire: delays and alterations can be expected, a replacement bus service is in operation between Peterborough and Ely in both directions.

BREAKING NEWS 7.45AM: A HUGE plume of smoke can be seen from all across the city as a fire rages.

The fire is thought to be in a warehouse building near to the McCain factory off Peterborough Road, at Whittlesey.

It is thought 10 fire engines are in attendance.
