STAFF at a Peterborough housing association have cause for celebration after achieving a record compliance score for gas safety checks.Minster General Housing Association has a 100 per cent compliance rates for its 1,000 homes in Peterborough, Norfolk, Northamptonshire, Huntingdonshire and Rutland.

If incorrectly fitted, gas appliances could cause death to the occupant if they start to leak excess carbon monoxide.

Minster achieved 100 per cent compliance level for gas servicing in June 2007 with a pro-active campaign which begins with approaching residents eight weeks prior to the check.
