Artist gives youngsters a helping hand with graffiti
YOUNGSTERS in Parnwell have been showing their creative side at Urban Art workshops held at the Parnwell Community Centre.
YOUNGSTERS in Parnwell have been showing their creative side at Urban Art workshops held at the Parnwell Community Centre.Teenagers have tried their hands at graffiti art with artist Simon Mitchell, learnt DJ and Deck skills to rival with Matthew Hollis and created original music with the Young Lives Jam Van team.
There will be a number of other events taking place at the centre in the future, and Lisa Masters, project co-ordinator at Young Lives, which runs the scheme, said: “There are still many more events coming up in Parnwell for anyone aged 11 and up.
“On December 13 we have a music workshop, and in the New Year we will be focusing on street dance.”
