Students catering for charity

CATERING students spent their lunchtime rustling up tasty fish and chips to raise money for charity.

The teenagers studying on the Foundation Learning Catering Programme at City College Peterborough raised just over £50 for East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) on Wednesday.

They charged £1 for each portion of fish and chips they served to fellow students, staff and members of the public in the training kitchen at the college, in Brook Street. All the money went to EACH.

Market development manager at the college, Jackie Hall said: “It went really well.

“Staff, students and members of the public who were in the college at the time really enjoyed it.”
