A Peterborough school is inviting former pupils to attend its 80th birthday party.

Fulbridge Academy – formally known as Fulbridge Primary School – will mark the anniversary with a celebration on November 6.

The Fulbridge Junior School first opened its doors on October 1 1935, with the Infants school following later in the year.

The day will start with a procession through the streets around New England, followed by an assembly for the school, ex pupils, parents and staff, and a fete during the day.

There will also be a party event in the evening.
