Hundreds of primary school pupils performed some of Disney’s best loved tunes at The Cresset on Wednesday and Thursday last week (June 17-18).

Youngsters from 20 different schools in the area put on an evening concert both nights.

The Cresset’s performing arts officer, Debbie Easson, said: “It’s a pleasure to put on. They have got so much out of it and it makes me really proud. The Cresset is giving the children a chance to go on the live stage.

“Can I say a big thank you to all the teachers and choreographers.”

All the children wore costumes and had their faces painted and brought props to help them get into character.

The Primary School Dance Showcase takes place twice a year and has been gaining popularity.

It is now performed over two nights due to the high demand for tickets and was a sell out on both nights.
