A cyclist is fighting for her life following a collision with a car at Norman Cross, Peterborough last night (Thursday).

The 46-year-old woman was taken to Peterborough City Hospital following the crash, which happened at the Stilton roundabout where the A15 meets the A1 just before 8.40pm.

She is now in a critical condition at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge

A Cambridgeshire police spokesman said: “The woman received serious, life threatening injuries.”

The crash, involved a red Peugeot 308cc.

The East of England Ambulance Service and the East Anglian Air Ambulance were called to the scene,

An East of England Ambulance Service spokesman said: “The woman had serious head injuries, and was taken to Peterborough City Hospital.”

Anyone who saw the collision is asked to call Cambridgeshire Police on 101.
