Shocking police dashcam shows the moment a dangerous motorcyclist from Peterborough is believed to have exceeded 180mph during a high-speed chase on the A1M.

Paul Whyatt (57) of Wisbech Road, Thorney, was jailed for dangerous driving and further offences at Peterborough Crown Court last week.

The police dashcam (one minute 30 seconds in) shows the moment in April 2015 when gym owner Whyatt speeds away from police while travelling between Sawtry and Huntingdon.

The dashcam also shows Whyatt in a second police chase, and this time he reaches dangerous speeds travelling on the A47 into Thorney and out through the other side of the village.

Whyatt was jailed for 30 months for two counts of dangerous driving, two counts of perverting the course of justice and for possessing a sheath knife.

He also received a Criminal Behaviour Order for four years and three months which bans from driving a motorbike of more than 50cc, and he has been disqualified from driving for three years, three months.
