UPDATE: Police officer cleared of GBH charge after trial at Peterborough Crown Court

A police officer has been acquitted on one count of grievous bodily harm after appearing at Peterborough Crown Court.

PC Paul Spencer, 43, who is based at Cambridgeshire Constabulary headquarters in Huntingdon, was found not guilty following a trial at Peterborough Crown Court today, Wednesday April 26.

He has been on restricted duties since the charge in May 2016 and remains so at this time..
