Thieves have stolen a unique custom designed pair of roller skates from a home in Peterborough

The black and white skates worth about £420 were taken from a house in Eye Road, Dogsthorpe, on Saturday morning (August 8).

The victim went up to bed at 2am and woke about 8.30am to find her laptop, iPod Nano and Nintendo DS were all missing from the kitchen-diner, along with a black skate bag with a pair of custom design ladies roller skates in it.

The skates have a skull and dagger design on them and the bag is black with white snowflakes on it.

The laptop has an orange hedgehog sticker in the bottom right-hand corner of the keyboard with a pink fairy sticker above it. Both the iPod Nano and Nintendo DS are white, with the iPod having a purple back and sides.

It is believed the offender/s may have got into the house through an unlocked patio door.

DC Gurdev Singh said: “The roller skates are very distinctive so I would urge anyone who knows of their whereabouts or has been offered them for sale to contact police.

“I would advise members of the public to double check all doors and windows are secure before heading up to bed at night, even if they think they have locked them, especially while the weather is warm as it is easily done to close doors but not lock them.”

Anyone with information should contact the burglary squad at Thorpe Wood by calling 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
