Thieves escape with heavy plant equipment after breaking in construction company compound

Police are appealing for witnesses following a break-in and the theft of heavy plant equipment that took place at a construction company's compound.

Thieves cut through the padlock securing the gates to the compound at RAF Wyton and were then able to steal a fuel bowser on a trailer together with a hand-operated roller, also on a trailer.

Police would like to hear from anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the area either during the evening of Thursday February 23 or early on Friday morning, particularly the two trailers bearing the plant equipment being driven anywhere in the district.
