Thieves disturbed by resident during burglary at Peterborough home

At 10pm a householder returned to their home in Coneygree Road, Stanground, and disturbed two males who made off from the premises through a rear door and over the garden fence at the rear of the property.

Officers attended the scene but were unable to locate the offenders.

At around midnight, some two hours later, police received reports of two people running through rear gardens in the Viking Court and Mercian Court area of Stanground.

Police asked all residents of Stanground to be vigilant and report any suspicious activity immediately to 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
