Renewed appeal in murder investigation as first photo of victim is released

Police leading a murder investigation in Wisbech have renewed their appeal for witnesses and released a photo of the victim today.

Dzilva Butiene, 48, from Wisbech, died as a result of a trauma to the abdomen on April 5 in Orange Grove.

Kestutis Bauzys, 46, who is charged with her murder is due to appear at Cambridge Crown Court on May 17.

Detective Chief Inspector Jo Walker, from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Major Crime Unit, said: “I would like to directly appeal to anyone who knew Dzilva or Bauzys to contact us, either by calling 101 or if you would prefer to remain anonymous, you can contact Crimestoppers.”
