Peterborough landlord guilty of harassing tenant
Mohammed Yousaf, 57, of Chestnut Avenue, Peterborough, was found guilty of one charge of harassment.
Yesterday (Thursday 28 April 2016) Peterborough Magistrates’ Court heard how there were a number of altercations between Yousaf and his tenant.

Hide AdYousaf made numerous attempts to enter the property to force his tenant, who has a wife and young child, to vacate the household without following the lawful process for eviction.
Peterborough City Council was alerted to the situation by a member of staff at the child’s school who had concerns for the family’s wellbeing.
The city council has since helped the family to find alternative accommodation.
Yousaf was sentenced to a community order of 12 months, with the direction to undertake 160 hours of unpaid work.
He was also ordered to pay a victim compensation fee of £500 and to pay £500 costs to Peterborough City Council.
