Manhunt continues after armed police are called to reports of offender with handgun in Peterborough

Police are looking at CCTV as the hunt for a man continues after armed police responded to reports of a person with a handgun in a Peterborough street on Saturday.

Armed response officers were called to Gunthorpe Road at 3.30pm on Saturday March 25.

One victim was injured in the incident, but it was not a firearms related injury.

Police have recovered an air weapon and forensic officers also attended the scene.

A police spokesman confirmed this morning, Monday, that no arrest has yet been made but officers are looking at CCTV from the aream.

Police say they know the offender is not a resident of Gunthorpe Road or the surrounding streets.

Anyone who saw the incident and has not yet spoken to police are urged to call officers on 101.
