A man was stabbed in a Peterborough street during a late night robbery in the city.

The incident happened on Durham Road near the junction with Saxon Road at 1.10am on Wednesday, May 6.

The victim suffered minor injuries to his back in the incident, and was taken to Peterborough City Hospital as a precaution.

Cambridgeshire police spokesman

Two males, thought to be teenagers, approached a man in the street and stabbed him, before running away along Padholme Road towards Eastfield Road.

A Cambridgeshire police spokesman said: “The victim suffered minor injuries to his back in the incident, and was taken to Peterborough City Hospital as a precaution.”

The both the attackers are described as being white.

One was wearing a dark grey hooded top, dark trousers and white trainers. The other was wearing a dark hoodie, grey trousers and white and black trainers.
