A man arrested on suspicion of murdering Ramsey man Andrew Bedford has been released on police bail.

The 56-year-old from Southampton was arrested along with seven others in connection with the cold case, which was re-launched on April 10 last year by the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Major Crime Unit.

He was bailed to return to a Southampton police station on April 7.

The seven others have also been bailed until April.

Andrew was last seen on September 28, 1990, in Factory Bank, off Great Whyte, Ramsey. Detectives believe he was killed later that evening with a shotgun at a garage which no longer exists in Ramsey called Mongrel Cars.

Anyone with information should contact the Major Crime Unit on 01480 422791, email operation.ongar@cambs.pnn.police.uk, or call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
